This Saturday March 8th is International Women's Day. The Irish Anti War Movement has called a national day of regional protests against War on Iraq and demanding an end to the use of Shannon by the US military. Already protests have been organised in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Tralee, Dingle, Waterford, Dundalk, Mullingar. Protests are curently being organised in a number of other towns. We hope that we will see a protest of some sort in every county. Join the protest in your area or organise one if no-one else has.Help turn International Women's Day into a major protest against the brutality of war.

    Friday 7th March 6.00 -7.00 pm. Top of O'Connell Street opposite the GPO. Please bring candles in glass containers. ALL ARE WELCOME. For furthe r information contact 071-77068.

    International Women's Day Peace Vigil.
    Saturday March 8th 2pm, Market Square, Letterkenny.
    Organised by the Donegal Peace Alliance & Endorsed by the Letterkenny Women's Centre.

    Protest if war begins

    If war begins we must move quickly to build large protests everywhere. Protests are already planned across the country and across the world.

    Please take note and spread the word, as we will have very little time to organise once war starts. Local anti-war groups should begin to plan for these protests now.

  • On the Evening of an attack at 6pm. Protests in every City, Town and Village across the country. In Dublin 6pm at the US Embassy, Ballsbridge
  • The day following the attack. Midday. 10 minute work stoppage. . Bring the country to a standstill. (Stop work, walk out of class, lectures, protest where you are . wear a white ribbon or arm band).
  • On the Saturday following the start of the war. Mass protests in every major city and town.
