WHAT:

For over 55 years, the School of the Americas (SOA) has trained over 60,000 Latin American soldiers in counter-insurgency techniques, sniper training, commando and psychological warfare, military intelligence and interrogation tactics. These graduates have consistently used their skills to wage war against their own people.

On November 16th. 1989 - 6 Jesuit priests and 2 Savadoran women were massacred by Salvadoran troops who had trained at the SOA, Ft. Benning Georgia. On the anniversary of the massacre, resisters gather at the Georgia base and enter in a fneral procession in memory of all those massacred in Latin America by the graduates of the SOA. Last year over 10,000 people agthered at the base, many were arrested and charged with tresspass. 43 are presently serving 3 - 6 months in prison as a result of theior nonviolent resistance to theis terrorist training camp. Updates on the SOA prisoners and this years nonviolent resistance can be found on www.soaw.org
