The message of Feb 15th is an important and basic one. To me, the purpose of such a show of numbers is to convince US and UK leaders that they are increasingly in the minority when it comes to the question of war in Iraq. Any dilution of this message by mention of Palestinian issues and anti-Islam fears while wholly justified and ethically sound only serve to distract from the unifying power of one simple message. It also allows the people we are trying to reach more opportunities to evade justification of their actions by not being forced to answer one simple question.

How long is this organization planning on waiting before someone bombs Ireland? How can you have an anti-war protest based solely on propaganda from Iraq, a country with a leader who has continuously lied to the UN? While the anti-Islamic racism must stop, it must also be recognized that if America and their allies do not stop the radicals, that many more innocent people will die.
