Correction: I just got this from the GAAW, people will be assembling at Fr. Griffin Park at 1pm. The Galway Alliance Against War is organising a demonstration in the city next Saturday (22 February). The rendezvous is the Fr Griffin Park at 1 pm. From there, we will march, via Munster Avenue, Dominick-street, Mainguard-street, and Shop-street to the Square. At the Square, there will be two speakers: one an Iraqi citizen, the other Anthony Glavin of US Citizens in Ireland Against War. Following short addresses, there will be music and song from some notable artists: details to be announced later. Earlier, in Fr Griffin Park there will entertainmment from performers who have agreed to Busk Against War. Participants are urged to make their own placards, puppets, &c. The float and other installations devised by Paraic Breathnachs team for the Dublin demonstration will lead the parade.
