Response to What you can do


On Newsnight last night they talked about how a lot of Labour MPs (UK), maybe a quarter, are not happy about Balir's planned attacks on Iraq. Blair was esentially saying don't worry about it and that it is something that is a long way off etc. but he really wasn't expecting the level of dissent he got in Parliament.

I think the idea of it being sustained pressure that keeps building as you quote Chomsky above is critical. It sound to me like Blair and Bush might be waiting for a more favourable climate in which to launch their attack - like less protest at home and less conflict in Palestine.

If that is the case then we must remember to keep this sustained - not just for a month or two but indefinitely. Don't give Blair the favourable conditions he is looking for.
