Response to Does the Irish Anti-War Movement condemn terrorist attacks enough?

I am a pacifist i condemn all violence and terrorism no matter who carries it out. But i feel that by concentrating to much on the terrorist attacks of Al-Qaeda,Palestinian and Islamic fundamentalist organizations, as terrible as they are, you could deflect to much from the main purpose which is to stop war. To my eyes the main threat to war is the US and UK and to a lesser extent the Israeli governments not the various terror groups. Most terror acts are a byproduct of the policies and actions of the above governments anyway.but these governments are using these terror acts as a justification for there so called war on terror and impending cruxifiction of the Iraqi people as if they haven't suffered enough, even though there is no credible link to al qaeda. while it is obviously about expansionism and control of oil. Some people might actually be alienated by standing on a platform about some of these atrocities.terrorism in the current climate is very subjective ,depending on what side of the fence you stand.i am sure to millions of people on this planet it is the US and Israeli Governments who are the terrorists, they have more blood on their hands than any terrorist orgnization. a Palestinian or Iraqi mother greive just the same as israeli mother. We are constantly being bombarded by propaganda from the mainstream media consisting twisting events to there own or should that be the US governments agenda.we have continous coverage of the terrorist atrocities continually only giving one side of the story to try and shape public opinion.and when people come here expecting it to be the the opposite to what the pro-war side is saying. and see the same unbalanced veiwpoints as the mainstream maybe they might not embrace the movement the same.i feel because of the imbalance in the coverage to bring some balance to things we should have more emphasis on what is not being said in the mainstream rather than what is being heard a million times over. also maybe some people are just opposed to war and don't what to be involved in the politicization of different conflicts by condemning certain acts over another.i am sure some people will disagree with my analysis but if it stirs up some debate that can't be a bad thing. here's to a peaceful world if possible without total annihilation. stephen keddy
