NUCLEAR POWER: NUCLEAR WASTELANDS & WAR

It is two years since the catastrophic nuclear disaster at Fukushima. While this has caused some countries to re-consider their commitment to this highly dangerous energy source Britain is not one of them. Five new nuclear reactors are to be built on Irish Sea coasts by the British. In other words, five more disasters waiting to happen. The nuclear experts in Ireland tell us these reactors are safe.

Galway Alliance Against War have invited Mr Wayne Jones, a consultee to the nuclear waste strategy of the Wales Anti Nuclear Alliance is to speak at this public meeting.

GAAW is greatly concerned too about off-shoots from the nuclear industry in the military sphere and the impossibility of safely disposing of any and all nuclear waste. An in-depth review of nuclear waste issues will be covered by Mr Jones . A discussion will follow on the issues of nuclear technology and war, including Iran’s intended nuclear program, depleted uranium health effects and USA,s first strike nuclear policy.
