FORMER CIA PRESIDENTIAL ADVISOR TO SPEAK AT DUBLIN MEETING TOMORROW

Ray Mc Govern, a former CIA Presidential Briefer and Russian expert turned peace activist will speak at a public meeting jointly organised by the Irish Anti-war Movement and the Peace and Neutrality Alliance tomorrow evening.

The meeting will take place in the Central Hotel, Exchequer Street, Dublin at 8.00pm Tuesday 01 November. All welcome.

With his extensive insider experience of US foreign policy and his knowledge of Russia, Ray will give an interesting insight into the current Middle East wars.

Ray Mc Govern is a former CIA Officer (1963-1990) turned peace activist. He served under five US Presidents, from JFK to G. Bush Senior, advising in particular on Russian affairs. He is a founding member of the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. In 2006 he began speaking out on behalf of the anti-war group ‘Not in Our Name’ and he returned his Intelligence Commendation Medal in protest against the CIA’s involvement in torture. In 2011 he was arrested for a silent protest during a speech by current US Presidential candidate, Hilary Clinton. He has openly supported Julian Assange and Wikileaks.
