I talked to a friend of mine who was at the march he described it as the "best one yet" with well over 2000 people in attendance.
He said that contrary to the usual strange looks you get from people on O'Connell Street - people seemed to be very supportive.
This Irish Times says several hundred people marched - I don't think in any normal definition 2000 plus can be described as several hundred.
Moreover, the article mentions that the event "passed off without incident". This apparently is the most important piece of news, as though the idea of the march was to have incidents and the organizers were somehow foiled.
I'd be interested in hearing what others thought of the demo
