Response to The depth of US commitment to democracy...

You guys are idiots. Do you actually bother to look into the real story - or do you just take the little scraps that Chomsky throws you? Come on people, you can't be taken seriously if all you do is resort to ad-hominem attacks on Bush and his advisors. It really makes you look foolish. As far as the Keenan quote...go check your sources. Try reading the whole article - not just the piece that Chomsky or Pitt decide to give you. Draw your own conclusions. Chomsky and his ilk serve a very good purpose - to point out to people that the US isn't infallible. But they fail to cover the whole picture...the focus on the mistakes of the US and don't cover the mistakes, atrocities, etc. of what other countries and regimes have done in the world that have been _so much worse_ that what the US has done. Since you are so keen on insulting the US' commitment to democracy, please show me another large country who does a better job than the US at it. It is unbelievable that you can make an enemy out of the one country that is the only reason why you - yes you - have the ability to speak your mind like this. Remember a little something called the Cold War? Do you have any doubt that Stalin wouldn't have loved to take over Europe after WWII? I guess you'd prefer Stalin to Bush? Hey - at least he is Saddam's hero! Maybe he's yours too?
