Anti-War Veterans on St. Patricks Day

John Hurley: Thanks for the information. Many veterans around the country have been very active in the peace movement in the U.S. Two weeks ago veterans held a teach-in in Washington D.C. to inform people of the evils of war and the Iraqi crisis. Presently, in Oregon a Senator is trying to create legislation to make protest demonstrations illegal and punishable up to 25 years inprisonment, Bill #742. If this goes through, currently being reworded, it could set a precedent for other states to follow. I think this is a very dangerous time and that we have to be very aware of legislative action that curtails our freedoms.
