there is no way all ba'ath party memebers can be removed from public life as the place would grind to a standstill as an example all students had to become members in order to go to college to have any position of power - power station manager, policeman, traffic warden - you had to be a member not all were involved in the brutal side of things - not even all the policemen at government level, all civil servants and pen pushers had to be members it's a bit like post nazi germany - if all members of the nazi party were excluded from pre war roles there would have been nobody left
