Response to Our only chance

I'd be only too happy to help strengthen the Euro and European economies instead of the US, if only we could buy more French, German, Spanish, Italian, etc. things in the shops. Apparently the 'Euroshopper' label in Superquinn is a co-operative of supermarkets in several European countries, but apart from that, the vast majority of goods we buy every week is from the US multi-nationals. All the little labels sporting shamrocks dangling from the shelves are stuck on things made in Irish factories which send their profits back to the US giants. Perhaps we should all be filling in those questionnaires asking for more European items on the shelves?
