I do not debate with skunks. The point was brought up about the death penalty. I oppose it for many reason, both humanitarian and religious. However one point that most do not recognize and that is economical. I am not sure some of the European Countries have recognized this to their credit. Example: It costs the Taxpayers of Texas nearly $3,000,000 in appeals, attorney fee's, etc. to sentence and execute a mass murder of women and children. It would only cost them $800,000 to have him sentenced to life and have to endure perhaps 30 years of confinement in a jail. During this time he would have plenty of time to not enjoy his bad conduct. In other words it costs much less money with in my opinion much more time for remorse if he were to be given a life sentence. jails in Texas are not considered fun by everyone.
