Response to Apparently, the Irish media caused 9/11

i agree with patrick and timothy entirely

not a day goes by over here (and not just on rte and in the times) where stories are written saying things like:

• no WMD have been found in iraq
• saddam had nothing to do with 11/9
• weapons inspectors were not given enough time
• the US tried to bribe UNSC members
• tens of thousands of iraqi civilians have been killed by the US
• at least 70% and up to 90% of iraqi prisoners were wrongly arrested and held
• sytematic torture, humiliation and degradation was visited on prisoners
• that guantanamo bay is an insult to democracy and justice
• cluster bombs were used on civilian areas
• journalists were targetted
• sovereignty has different meanings for different people
• chalabi is a pentagon stooge
• democracy won't be allowed cos of a shia majority
• that the coalition of the willing was a farcical grouping

i even read once (probably in the times) that saddam was a buddy of the US and rumsfeld actually met him to arrange amongst other things arms sales and chemical / biological weapons !!!

such horrendous innacurracies and blatent anti-americanism should not go unchallenged

and i'm sure patrick and timothy can tell the real side to these stories for us
