Response to IAWM position on Iraqi elections
As a student of Irish history, and only visiting four times in ten years (my better half is there touring the Ring of Kerry with two other Irish ladies as I write), Michael's post resonates honestly with what I read of it. "US troops out of Iraq" is clear enough! Debate that! Why debate innocuous points, even though every fair-minded person wants the folks in the Middle East to be able to vote and have a voice, but not under "occupation" and at the end of the barrel of a gun? Zak, time and time again and with the patience of Job, has delineated the out of control situation as it stands. Why belabor the obvious and attempt a weak dialectic?
