The Irish Anti war Movement, with PANA, are hosting a 3-day international Anti-War / anti-NATO Conference in Dublin with the participation of over 40 activists from the US, UK, all over Europe and South America. The full 3-day programme is attached below.

The main venue of the Conference is the Ireland Institute in Pearse Street while a Public Meeting on the same subject will take place in Libertry Hall on Saturday April 16th at 16.00 hours. Speakers at the meeting will be Kate Hudson from CND UK, Arielle Denis from the French Peace Movement, Richard Boyd-Barrett TD from the People Before Profirt Alliance and the IAWM,  Paul Murphy, our new MEP replacing Joe Higgins and John Lannon from Shannonwatch. The meeting will be chaired by Patricia McKenna.

On Wednesday, 4 May, at 11am, Irish multinational CRH will hold their Annual General Meeting in the Royal Marine Hotel, Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.  The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign plan a highly visual photo-friendly protest outside the venue, featuring a mock checkpoint with soldiers, scale model wall, and a 'human wall'.

This is a call out to all solidarity activists to turn up on the morning and become part of a striking human wall along Marine Road. The wall will symbolise the illegal separation wall built by Israel in the occupied West Bank and will highlight CRH’s involvement with the wall and settlements.

Assemble at 9.30AM on Marine Road, Dun Laoghaire.

Professor to speak on ‘The Horrible History of the House of Windsor’.
Saturday 14th May 8pm Richardsons meeting room, corner house Eyre Square, Galway City.

Professor John Newsinger, a prominent British historian & Professor from Bath University, is visiting Ireland to speak on the ‘horrible history’ of the British monarchy. The speaking tour takes place just before the forthcoming visit of British Queen Elizabeth to our shores.
Professor Newsinger will give an open lecture in Galway and will also address audiences in Dublin,Cork, and Belfast on the tour.

Professor Newsinger is the author of "The Blood Never Dried- A People’s History of the British Empire". He has also written extensively on Irish history with books on "The United Irishman", and "Rebel City" which describes Dublin in 1913. A new updated edition of his "British Counterinsurgency" is due out in 2012.

In a statement, the tour organiser, Gino Kenny, a local councillor for the People Before Profit Alliance in the Clondalkin area of Dublin, said,
