This Saturday 23rd February the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign are calling on all supporters of the Palestinian people to take to the streets as part of a global day of protest to end the siege in Gaza. This is an international day of protest with demonstrations taking place across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.The IPSC’s protest action will take place from 12.30pm onwards at The Spire on O’Connell St. in Dublin city centre.

This is an international day of protest with demonstrations taking place across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.The IPSC’s protest action will take place from 12.30pm onwards at The Spire on O’Connell St. in Dublin city centre. We will distribute information leaflets regarding the current situation in Gaza and host a petition which will be presented to the EU offices at a later date. There will be a few short speeches by representatives from the Palestinian community, the IPSC and the Irish Anti-War Movement.
This siege has gone on for too long with completely inadequate media coverage and blatant inaction behalf of the EU, while the Irish government has failed to raise the issue in any significant manner. The EU is aiding and abetting a clear breach of the Geneva Convention.
This demonstration needs your support. We need as many people as possible to come along and bring flags, placards, banners etc. It is important that we show the world, the EU and the government that Ireland does not support the Israeli state’s brutal policies towards the Palestinians.
