INTERNATIONAL FREE GAZA VIGIL SATURDAY 1.30PM,

We have been requested by the Galway Palestinian Solidarity Committee to ask our supporters to join in an international Free Gaza vigil on Saturday, 23rd Feb., from 1.30-2pm at the Wilde Statue. This vigil is being held in towns and cities throughout the world. A representative from the Popular Committee for a Free Gaza contacted the Galway solidarity group seeking its support. We would remind people that the EU – and therefore Ireland – is involved in the Israeli blockade of Gaza by refusing to open the border checkpoint between Gaza and Egypt, which it is in charge of.
