GLOBAL DAY OF ACTION TO BAN CLUSTER MUNITIONS

A global day of action to Ban Cluster Bombs will take place on
Saturday, 19 April 2008, exactly one month before the crucial Dublin
Diplomatic Conference on Cluster Munitions (19 – 30 May 2008) where
negotiations for a treaty that will ban cluster bombs will take place.

The main aim of the day is to raise awareness through generating
media coverage of the cluster munitions problem, the treaty process
and the Dublin negotiating conference, and to specifically highlight

what action we are asking governments to take – in our case, the
Irish government.
