Irish Art for Gaza print exhibition opening in Galway with Felim Egan

Renowned Irish artist Felim Egan will be at the Town Hall Theatre this Thursday 7th April to open the exhibition of prints for the Irish Artists for Gaza, Felim will be joining the Irish ship sailing to Gaza this May with the International Freedom Flotilla along with travel writer Dervla Murphy.
Four of Ireland’s leading visual artists have joined forces to create a unique series of art print to support the Irish Ship to Gaza. Felim Egan, Robert Ballagh, Pat Harris and Guggi have each kindly donated a unique set of 100 personally signed prints, produced to the highest standard on top-quality cotton archival paper, these prints can be viewed at the Town Hall Theatre from 7th – 22nd April.

They each evoke the cause of Gaza in different ways — the work by Pat Harris, for example, is a painting of flowers from Gaza. Along with the prints we are introducing some of the work of Basel El Maqosui, an photographer and artist from the group ‘Windows from Gaza whose painting we hope to exhibit in the near future.
Music for the evening by Nial Teague & the Fast Company, they’re Irish, they’re folk, they’re country, they’re bluegrass, they’re great!
