IAWM & OTHER GROUPS TO PROTEST AT US AMBASSADOR’S PARTY
STOP ENABLING GENOCIDE IN GAZA
IRISH GOVERNMENT MUST SANCTION ISRAEL

The IAWM and other groups will protest and have a visual die-in at the US ambassador’s party for TDs, ambassadors and other guests at 7pm this coming Monday 8^th July. We are calling on all people who are disgusted Israel’s genocide in Gaza genocide to join us.

We will assemble at the junction of White’s Road and Ordnance Survey Road near Chesterfield Road (the main road through the Phoenix Park) from 6.45pm.

We will say very clearly that there is nothing to celebrate while the US and other countries are enabling this mass slaughter and destruction in Gaza. The one country in the world that could stop this Gaza genocide is the US. The one person in the world who could stop this genocide is President Joe Biden. Yet he continues to send arms to Israel which continues to bomb, destroy and kill and maim Palestinians at will.

The Irish Government is complicit in this carnage by continuing to allow the facility to the US Military at US Shannon Airport and by continuing to trade with Israel. Many US military flights that have stopped at Shannon in recent months have made their way to Israel.

“Let us be very clear – thousands of Palestinians are being slaughtered with US weapons. Yet the US ambassador sees fit to throw a party in one of our public buildings, and our Government sees fit to allow her to do so. We call on all Irish TDs not to attend this event and to send a clear message to the US ambassador that her government must stop enabling genocide. We call on the Irish Government to sanction Israel. It is disgraceful that Ireland is still importing drones, high tech equipment and dual-use goods from such a brutal apartheid state that is committing a genocide against the Palestinian people and that it is still facilitating the US Military at Shannon airport. Both should stop immediately.”
