The Irish Anti-War Movement

IAWM PROTEST AT EMBASSY OF SAUDI ARABIA THIS THURSDAY

IRISH ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT (IAWM) PRESS RELEASE: 29 OCTOBER 2018
The Irish Anti-war Movement announces it will hold a protest at the Embassy of Saudi Arabia at 6 & 7 Fitzwilliam Square East, Dublin 2 at 6PM on this Thursday 01 November.
Stop the War on Yemen! Stop starving the Yemeni people!
7 million Yemenis stand on the brink of starvation. The Saudi War on Yemen has already claimed 56,000 lives. Casualties are running at 2000 per month. These include women and children some of whom have been bombed at weddings and in school buses by the Saudi Arabian airforce with weapons supplied by western arms companies and governments.
To the Saudi regime The Irish Anti War Movement says “Stop slaughtering and starving the Yemeni people”.
To western governments we say “Stop arming and supporting the monstrous Saudi regime. Expel Saudi diplomats now!”
The IAWM is also calling on people to support the vigil at the Saudi Embassy at 5PM organised by Amnesty International (Ireland) and the National Union of Journalists in protest at the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. This vigil takes place on the eve of UNESCO International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists.
