1. NATIONAL PROTEST FOR GAZA THIS SATURDAY – IPSC event
supported by IAWM: Freedom & Justice for Palestine – National Demonstration (IPSC) Sat, 9 August 2014, 14:00 Assemble at The Spire, O’Connell Street, Dublin 1

Details here: http://www.ipsc.ie/event/dublin-freedom-justice-for-palestine-national-demonstration-ipsc

All out for Palestine this Saturday.

In just four weeks at least 1900 people killed in Gaza, including 373 children – see http://www.dhakatribune.com/world/2014/aug/08/name-373-children-killed-gaza-offensive-published.
400,000 people displaced i.e. almost 25% of the population. This is equivalent to 4895 dead and 1,086,690 people displaced in Ireland! Yet Irish Government recently, shamefully abstained on a UN vote to have an investigation into war crimes. Let the Irish Government know what you think this Saturday. Come along and support the people of Gaza and all of Palestine.

2. On Tuesday 05 August 2014 the IAWM launched its pamphlet entitled "World War 1 – what did they die for?" – along with a statement signed by over 75 people, many of them prominent figures from artistic, cultural, sporting and political life in Ireland. The launch was addressed by Clare Daly TD, artist Robert Ballagh, the Chair of CND the Revd. Patrick Comerford, former MEP Patricia Mc Kenna and writer, historian and secretary of the IAWM Steering Committee, John Molyneux.
