This last week has seen yet more Israeli genocidal depravity. Israeli troops attacked an UNWRA school and took away the younger men and executed older men, women, children and babies at point blank range, according to an Al Jazeera report. The airstrikes continue to kill many civilians – almost 150 children per day on average – and we learn this week that almost 50% of these airstrikes consist of indiscriminate dumb bombs. So much for the targeting of Hamas that Israel’s most moral army claims to do.

They continue to target journalists with another member of Al Jazeera killed yesterday and left to bleed to death, refusing to allow medics near the body.

Hundreds of thousands of displaced Gazans are starving and will likely start dying soon.

Attacks continue in the West Bank on a daily basis, with 12 Palestinians killed in Israel’s 3-day attack this last week.

Meanwhile this violence is all supported and facilitated by the US Government. The US disgracefully refuses to call for a ceasefire and voted against the motion in the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. Biden, Blinken, Harris and all of the US Government have the blood of innocent Gazans, including 10,000 children, on their hands.

A poll in the US shows that 61% of Americans and 76% of democrats support a ceasefire. Yet only 11% of the US congress calls for a ceasefire. Many of Joe Biden’s staffers demonstrated outside the White House a few days ago. There are protests against Biden everywhere he goes.

Glenda Cimino from the IAWM Steering Committee said:

“As an American citizen who supports freedom and equality for all people, no matter what ethnicity or religion, I totally condemn the Biden Government for its support for Netanyahu and his ilk, and the Zionist, racist apartheid state of Israel for their ongoing barbarous assault on Gaza and their continued violence in the West Bank. Nothing justifies an endless war against innocent Palestinian women, children, and men, unable to flee or find anywhere safe from the bombs.  It is heart-breaking to see the US government standing firmly on the wrong side of history, vetoing a permanent ceasefire again and again, while hundreds of thousands of people everywhere demand a ceasefire, and the world governments stand by helpless or with crocodile tears. This callous political stance will not be forgotten. We will remember the names of every Palestinian man woman and child killed, forever.”

She continued:

“Israel is not only committing GENOCIDE in Gaza, it is also stupidly committing the crime of ECOCIDE. It is not just the reckless bombing of buildings, some containing asbestos and other chemical hazards set on fire, not to mention the dead bodies of trapped and panicked people decomposing under the rubble. White phosphorus bomb residues poison the air and the rain that people may drink, as water supplies are cut off and desalination plants bombed. Raw sewage is pouring into the sea off Gaza. Precious children are getting sick and dying from preventable diseases because of Israel’s destruction of necessary infrastructure and hospitals. And pouring sea water into the tunnels shows Netanyahu’s indifference to the fate of the hostages who may be in them, if not killed by Israeli bombs already.

Jim Roche, PRO of the IAWM said:

“Israel can only continue its genocidal attack on the people of Gaza with the imprimatur and the military and financial support provided by the US Government. Instead of Irish Government TDs attending the US Ambassador’s Christmas party this week, the Taoiseach and Tánaiste should have called her in to Government buildings and made it clear to her that the Irish people condemn America’s support for Israel’s onslaught on Gaza. They should also sanction Israel. It is not enough to meekly call for a ceasefire. They must do more. They should sanction Israel and close the Shannon Warport to the US Military”
