2. Organising Obana’s Visit – Tues 3/5/2011 7PM

 

There will be an activist meeting for anyone who wants to highlight the war in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as the case of Bradley Manning during the visit of US President Obama.

3. Palestine Education Course12/5/2011 Dublin & Belfast

Palestine Education is an exciting new development education initiative which aims to provide up to date, relevant and reliable information to those wishing to understand the roots and realities of the Israel-Palestine conflict. The initiative includes a six week course entitled ‘Promises’ which aims to provide an introduction to human rights, media and campaigning. This short interactive course encourages empathy with the victims of human rights violations, and equips them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to become local and global advocates for human rights.

The course commences on Tuesday May 10th 2011 from 6.30-8.30pm in The Irish Aid Centre, O’Connel St. Dublin 1 and runs on subsequent Tuesday nights until June 28th 2011.

The course fee is €100 or €75 for students and unwaged. The course will also run in Peace House, Lisburn Road, Belfast 12th May  from 7-9pm. For more information or to book a place contact

Protest at the CRH 2011 AGM at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin. Assemble at 9.30AM outside the gates of the hotel, on Marine Road.
