This State under the control of Fine Gael / Labour Government have agreed in its aviation policy to

seek "additional military aircraft" to use Shannon Airport.

It is totally committed to ensure Ireland’s continuing active particiation in the doctrine of perpetual war.

The State’s arrest and imprisonment of Margaratta D’Arcy because of her refusal to stop her

protest against against the total destruction of Ireland’s policy of neutrality by allowing millions

of US troops use Shannon Airport is a clear indication of the determination of the Minister for Justice

Mr. Shatter, who in an interview in the NATO Review said that Irish neutrality is "irrelevant" to enforce

by the full use of state power Ireland’s commitment to the doctrine of perpetual war.

The Irish Labour Party, when Michael D. Higgins was its Foreign Affairs Spokesperson called for the

termination of the use of Shannon Airport as a warport and called for the withdrawal of US troops

from Afghanistan. Under the Leadership of Eamon Gilmore, Minister for Foreing Affairs & Trade it

has also backed the use of US trops of Shannon Airport andsupported the continuing Irish Army

participation in the Afghan war.

We need as many people as possible to take part in the Shannonwatch vigil.
