Raytheon 9 trial put back til January 2008

" Thanks to everyone for messages over the last week. Meant a lot to all of us. Peace out! " From Colm Bryce, of Raytheon 9

The Raytheon Trial is expected to last weeks, and the aim of the defendants is to put the real criminals on trial – the arms dealers who profit from murder.

The defendants are up on charges of criminal damage and affray that carries a sentence of between 18-2 years in jail.

They do not, however, intend to deny that they dropped computers out of the window as they are quite proud of their actions.

The defense case is that they wished to stop an illegal war which was being perpetuated on the people of Lebanon and took whatever actions they could to stop the local Raytheon factory in Derry ‘aiding and abetting’ the killing.

They will make this case to a jury drawn from the people of Derry.
