EMMERGENCY PROTEST AT DÁIL ÉIREANN

IRISH ANTI WAR MOVEMENT (IAWM) PRESS RELEASE, 18th MARCH 2025
- STOP THE ISRAELI MASSACRES OF PALESTINIANS
- STOP BOMBING GAZA AND YEMEN
- IRISH GOVERNMENT MUST SANCTION ISRAEL NOW
The IAWM will partake along with other groups in a protest organised by Collective Action for Palestine at Dáil Eireann from 5.30pm on Wednesday 19 March.
The massacre of Palestinians in Gaza by the Israeli military as they slept on Sunday night and early Monday morning represents a new low for an already disgraced murderous Israeli regime. Over 430 Palestinians have been killed in the strikes including over 100 children, while hundreds more have been injured or buried alive.
This is a blatant full-scale unilateral breaking by Israel, with total US support, of the fragile ceasefire which had already been partly broken with targeted killings of Gazans and humanitarian workers over the last few weeks.
This is all part of the Israeli and US plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza of its population. Israel is doing this simply because it can, as no Western Governments will stop it. Instead, they supply the arms that commit these mass murders of Palestinians. With Trump attacking and murdering Yemeni civilians and Israel discussing re-settling Gazans with three African countries, it is so obvious what the murderous gameplan of these two nefarious right-wing Governments is.
Those Palestinians not already murdered by Israel are completely traumatised. How many more need to endlessly die before the world governments act?
Jim Roche, Secretary and PRO of the IAWM Steering Committee said:
“We do not want to hear more sickening platitudes from the Irish Government while it colludes with the murderous Israeli regime by allowing flights with armaments through Irish airspace, allowing the U.S. military to stop over at Shannon Airport, selling Irish beef to the Israeli army – effectively feeding a genocide – and selling Israeli war bonds through our Central Bank, to mention just some of the ways it is deviously supporting Israel. We are calling for the Irish Government to stop the meaningless condemnations and immediately impose comprehensive economic and diplomatic sanctions on this rogue, apartheid, terror state.”
We are calling on all those who support Palestine to protest at the Dáil this Wednesday evening.
